MADADENI – Madadeni Police are investigating two murders which occurred at the Masondeza area in Madadeni on Saturday, February 4.

Allegedly a man believed to be in his late 20s saw red when his partner was talking to a 17-year-old man..
According to police reports, the boyfriend fetched a garden fork and stabbed the 17-year-old with the fork.
“He stabbed and killed the victim on the spot,” said Communication and Liaison Officer for SAPS, Lizzy Arumugam.
The suspect fled the scene.
Community members gathered at the crime scene, and allegedly assaulted the suspect’s girlfriend and demanded to be told where the suspect could be found.
It is believed the angry mob proceeded to the suspect’s home, assaulted and killed the suspect’s 30-year-old brother, and set the house alight.
Police investigation continues.
Madadeni Police are appealing to the community not to resort to vigilantism.
“Rather phone the police for assistance.”
The suspect was arrested on Wednesday, February 8 and is expected to appear in Madadeni Magistrate’s Court soon.
