Christine and Roger Solik were found murdered after being abducted by robbers a month ago.

Three days after his wife Christine’s body was recovered in Impendle, police divers recovered Roger Solik’s body yesterday afternoon.

The Soliks were assaulted, robbed and abducted after a home robbery at Bend Country Estate in Nottingham Road during the early hours of Friday morning.

A plea from the Solik family for assistance to find their missing dad, ended in tragedy yesterday when his body was recovered less than three kilometres from where his wife’s body was found.

Police confirmed that the Pietermaritzburg Search and Rescue Unit retrieved Mr Solik’s body in Impendle.

According to media reports, he too, was beaten and bound.
