SCHOOL’S OUT: Some Newcastle schools have closed their doors due to the flooding
At this stage, it is unclear when classes will resume.
Newcastle – Schools in the Paradise vicinity will be closed due to the rain and flooding.
SE Vawda Primary School and St Oswalds Secondary School are among the two schools which are not operational today (February 22).
The schools are allegedly closed due to road closure in the area and flooding in the Newcastle area, and should resume back to normal as from tomorrow.
“Most of our students are from Madadeni and oSizweni. The roads are closed in those areas and have made it difficult for our students to get to school today,”said an anonymous source.
The Newcastle Advertiser will keep its readers updated as soon as new information is received.
