SCOTT STREET – When the man suspected of robbing Bridget Coulson of her cellphone on January 26, and his accomplice were arrested, she believed justice had been served.
However, she was gravely mistaken.
While walking in town on February 7, she was approached by the two suspects in Scott Street.
“They tried talking to me and even said they did not want to hurt me.”
She was horrified that they had received bail, especially since the suspect who had actually robbed her, had threatened to kill her if she did not cooperate and hand him her phone.
“I am scared. What if they want revenge? I can walk out of my work and they or one of their friends can hurt me. I felt safer when I knew they were behind bars.”
Ms Coulson’s mother reported the matter to the police.
“My mother was told because they violated their bail conditions by approaching me, they could be arrested again,” she said.
The police were contacted for comment, but none was forthcoming at the time of print.
