19-year-old arrested for possession of ammunition

When police searched the house, they found no trace of the firearm but did find 64 .38 special live rounds

A 19-year-old from Annieville Farm, Dannhauser, was arrested for possession of ammunition.

On the night of February 19, police were conducting special operations in the area when Cst VG Ngubane received information that a man was in possession of an unlicensed firearm.

When police searched the house, they found no trace of the firearm but did find 64 .38 special live rounds.

He was then arrested and charged.

Appeal made to community:
Dannhauser SAPS have appealed to the communities of Annieville, KwaMdakane, Allen Farm, Rutland, Jessey Farm, Nellyvalley, Kiel-Kiel Farm, Thirst Farm, Fairbreeze and Blackbank (Wards 3, 7, 8, 9 and 12) to raise all issues regarding investigation of cases with the Detective Branch Commander, Capt Steyn.
