Newborn baby dumped in Steadville, Ladysmith

Police were informed and the baby was rushed to hospital

On Wednesday (March 1), the community of Thembalihle in Steadville were shocked to find a newborn baby that had been dumped.

They heard its cries and found the baby in a plastic bag.

Police were informed and the baby was rushed to Ladysmith Provincial Hospital.

Ladysmith police are investigating a case of child abandonment and are appealing to the community to come forward with any information they might have concerning the discovery.
