Are you ready for the Lekker fun with Lekker Amajuba Race

HUTTEN HEIGHTS – Newcastillians geared up to take part in the annual Rapportryers Lekker Amajuba Race at Majuba Lodge on Saturday.

Altogether 29 teams took part in the event, speeding through town to complete the tasks laid out for the race.

Tasks included answering questions about history at Fort Amiel Museum. At Factory Plaza, contestants had to flip pancakes and jump on the trampoline. Their fitness levels were put to the test at New Active Gym..

Those who chose not to race, could amuse themselves with activities such as archery, paintball, and inflatables. Dirkie’s Fun Farm, a beer tent, exhibitions and food contributed to a happy and relaxed day.

Guest artists of the day included Armand Hofmeyr, who ended the day’s fun on a high note.
