Concerns raised over burst water pipe at Ladysmith Department of Labour

Month-long wait for uThukela to fix leak

A burst water pipe at the Department of Labour has Ladysmith resident Christopher Fobian concerned about water wastage.

After many homes suffered with dry taps recently, he feels that the municipality should at least fix all burst pipes to ensure that water does not go to waste.

“It has been over a month now since the pipe burst. I am concerned over the fact that water is going to waste and the matter hasn’t been attended to,” said concerned resident Christopher Fobian.

He contacted the municipality, who said they would send out people to fix it.

He is still awaiting their arrival a month later.
