Residents in the street have had to deal with not only potholes, but a scarred road surface after water pipe repairs were done.

Month after month, residents hoped that Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality would tend to the worsening road conditions but no progress was seen.

Some homeowners took on the onus to repair the road in front of their homes, in the hope that damage to their vehicles would be minimised.

However, as the road surface deteriorates with weather and daily use, residents turned to the Estcourt News to seek answers and action from the municipality and Acting Municipal Manager Mrs Ndlela responded with some good news.

“Dahlia Road is under our maintenance plan but uThukela did not notify us about when this occurred. We will check and do necessary repairs as soon as possible,” she commented.
