Time at a standstill as hands of Town Clock refuse to move

The old question of whether the municipality is interested in rectifying the situation is on everyone’s mind

It’s been months now that the Town Clock has not been operational.

Since it is such a landmark and one of the major historical attractions of our town, people are shaking their heads in wonder at how this situation can just be left to continue.

The old question of whether the municipality is interested in rectifying the situation is also on everyone’s mind.

The clock is stuck at 1.45 and the hands are not moving.

Local residents want the Town Clock to be “up and running” so the town doesn’t get a bad name for itself. Only time will tell (excuse the pun) how long it will take before the clock is ticking smoothly once again.

“It is such an embarrassment when tourists visit and see that the clock is broken,” said one resident.

“Time is standing still in more ways than one, and it’s really not funny. I hope the municipality catches a wake-up and sorts this problem out as soon as possible,” said an irate local history lover.

We are still awaiting comment from the municipality regarding this matter.
