Leonardsville residents upset with municipality in Ladysmith

Residents have been complaining about long grass growing in the street, saying that it attracts criminal activity and unwanted animals

Residents of Chandu Road, Leonardsville, are furious with the municipality, as they feel they are not doing enough in terms of service delivery.

Homeowners say the municipality has turned a blind eye to their problems, as they never respond to their cries.

Residents have been complaining about long grass growing in the street, saying that it attracts criminal activity and unwanted animals.

“Residents have been complaining to the municipality and have also complained to me as a councillor. It is so frustrating that whenever we, as the community of Leonardsville, lay complaints, the municipality fails to come through,” said Councillor L Bhoobun.

She also stated that the whole of Leonardsville is in a terrible condition and pleads with the municipality to recognise the plight of those in the area.
