Update: Municipality fixes major burst water pipe in Ladysmith

Motorists can now drive normally, as the water has dried up

After gallons and gallons of water was wasted from a major burst pipe in Shepstone Road, uThukela went out and fixed the problem.

Yesterday (June 21), the pipe burst near a construction site in Shepstone Road, with motorists and residents describing it as an erupting volcano. Water was shooting up into the air before running down the road.

Residents wondered why uThukela did not come out pronto, but the district municipality eventually came to the rescue and managed to stop the gushing water.

Motorists can now drive normally, as the water has dried up.
