Workmen carrying out urgent repairs to major water pipe, Glencoe

Many residents have been 'waterless' since Sunday

Many areas in Glencoe are without water since Sunday following a burst pipe line.  The 200mm pipe feeds the reservoirs via Payne’s Farm to Glencoe town, just below the small dam adjacent to Karellandman Street.

Umzinyathi District Municipality workers have isolated the leak.  Affected includes include the  Railway yard, Louisa Street and Francis Road in Glencoe. A water tanker has been sent to the affected areas.

Work on repairs is currently underway. Watch out for updates.
