75 parcels of Mandrax confiscated in Newcastle

Newcastle SAPS arrested a 28-year-old man during a conducting a stop-and-search operation and found him in possession of parcels of Mandrax.

Newcastle SAPS Crime Prevention B Group arrested a 28-year-old man for being in possession of 75 parcels of Mandrax tablets in Paradise.

The incident occurred on June 21.

Members of the police were conducting a stop-and-search operation, when the suspect was stopped and his vehicle searched.

The suspect appeared in the Newcastle Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, June 22 and the case was remanded, pending further investigations.

He will remain in police custody until he reappears in court on July 22.
