Nine bags of dagga with the street value of R300 000 were found
An intelligence multi-disciplinary crime prevention operation between Ntabamhlophe police and Ezemvelo Wild Life officers from the Giants Castle area was held earlier in July.
Valuable information was relayed to officers concerning the movement of a suspicious silver Toyota double-cab bakkie.
The vehicle was later spotted in the area and searched by the officers. Nine bags of dagga with the street value of R300 000 were found.
The 39-year-old driver was arrested for possession of dagga. The vehicle has since been impounded. The suspect appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on July 7 facing possession of dagga.
