Clean water wasted and flowing like a river in Ladysmith

"There should be a sense of urgency, as pure water is being wasted"

A burst pipe at the corner of Link Road has seen clean drinking water going to waste since last night (July 28).

The water was flowing like a river, with residents of the area concerned about the situation.

The matter was reported to uThukela by IFP Councillor Abbas Warasally, but nothing has been done about it.

“There should be a sense of urgency, as pure water is being wasted. If this is not an urgent matter to uThukela, then I don’t know what is,” says Cllr Warasally.

Update: uThukela workers are currently fixing the pipe.
