Engineers investigating cause of water interruption

At the time the Estcourt News spoke to Mr Mkhonza, he said that water was being pumped into the reservoir

After a sudden water interruption yesterday in Forderville, Papkuilsfontein and parts of town, the water supply is back. The water returned earlier this morning to the affected areas.

uThukela District Municipality’s Communications Manager, Jabulani Mkhonza said engineers are currently on site trying figure  out the cause of the water interruption.

Some of the above mentioned  areas experienced a water cut over the past weekend as well, and while restoring the water supply, according to Mr Mknonza,  air in the pipes became an issue, causing the interruption yesterday.

He was unsure what the exact cause was but promised to have an update by this afternoon. At the time the Estcourt News spoke to Mr Mkhonza, he said that water was being pumped into the reservoir.
