3 men busted with dagga near Ladysmith

Eight bags of dagga were found inside the vehicle

Three men aged between 38 and 45 were arrested and police recovered about R200,000 worth of dagga in the early hours of Tuesday morning (August 8).

The suspects were travelling at high speed in a Toyota Hilux in the Emahlutshini area when officers from Ntabamhlope SAPS stopped them.

Eight bags of dagga were found inside the vehicle.

The suspects appeared briefly in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Thursday (August 10).

They face charges of being in possession of dagga.

The recovered dagga weighed in at about 192kg and has a street value of around R200,000.
