Locals heed the blood drive call

The next blood donor clinic will be held on Thursday, September 14 at the town hall from 11am until 6pm

Blood donors made their way to the Estcourt Town Hall on Thursday to help save lives with one pint of their lifesaving blood.

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) assisted locals with rolling up their sleeves to get donating towards the worthy cause, as they hosted their August monthly blood donor clinic.

Wanda Mtshali’s fourth pint of blood will help save up to three lives.

59 attended, 49 bled the precious gift of life, and the SANBS team welcomed four new blood buddies. The next blood donor clinic will be held on Thursday, September 14 at the town hall from 11am until 6pm, save the date and help save lives.

The SANBS team and Blood Clinic Co-ordinator, Mr SM Dawoonarain would like to thank everyone who attended and who made a generous contribution.

Luke Van Dort’s 63rd contribution to the blood donor clinic was welcomed.

Drakensberg Secondary School learners, parents and school staff are welcome to attend the scholar blood donor clinic set to be held on August 21 from 9.30am to 2pm.
