4-year-old girl burnt to death in old car outside Ladysmith home

Paramedics declared the girl dead at the scene in Steadville

A four-year-old girl was tragically killed this afternoon (August 19) in Steadville.

A group of children were playing in an old car outside a house in Steadville when the incident occurred.

The children were inside the motor vehicle when a fire started, with some of the children managing to escape before the fire got out of hand.

However, a four-year-old girl could not get out in time and was tragically burnt to death.

At this stage, the cause of the fire is unknown.

Paramedics declared the girl dead at the scene in Steadville.

The Ladysmith Fire Department, police and Public Safety officers responded to the scene.
