As a Women’s Month initiative, the female police officers of Madadeni Police Station conducted a Basadi Road Block Operation between Sections 2 and 3 of Madadeni.
21 police officials operated the road block, and this was followed by a crime prevention awareness campaign at the Morala and Boxer Shopping Complex, where safety pamphlets were handed out to members of the public.
The day’s search statistics successes were as follows:
Cars searched: 148
Passengers searched: 465
Tickets issued estimated at R12 100 for offenses such as failure to wear seatbelts, failure to produce valid drivers licence and unlicensed motor vehicles.
