Illegal dumping takes place on the Bluebank road (Video Included)

People are driving to this area and dumping bin bags full of rubbish, including broken light bulbs

Motorists have been noticing that illegal dumping is taking place in the Bluebank road area.

A Ladysmith Gazette journalist went out recently and was shocked to see that people are dumping hordes of rubbish, including broken light bulbs.

Broken light bulbs are heaped in the area. “Why light bulbs? Well, that’s a good question. Why don’t people just throw them away at their homes, instead of throwing them in Bluebank road?” said one concerned resident.

People seem to be driving out and dumping bin bags full of rubbish. The light bulbs create a dangerous situation in that people’s feet could get cut open if walking in the area.

“What is embarrassing is that many tourists also use this road to visit Ladysmith and for them to see all this doesn’t give our town a very good name,” said a Ladysmith motorist.

At the moment, the vacant land is a terrible eyesore for residents and motorists alike.
