Police officer killed in car crash in Loskop

“It is alleged that the driver lost control of the vehicle which then veered of the roadway. The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries during the collision,” commented police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig

A fatal collision in Loskop brought to end the life of a police officer.

During the early hours of Saturday morning, emergency personnel were alerted to a car crash in the Nkomokazini area, Loskop.

Upon arrival, a 43-year-old male was found deceased.

“It is alleged that the driver lost control of the vehicle which then veered of the roadway. The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries during the collision,” commented police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig.

“The deceased has not yet been officially identified by the family, but we can confirm that he is a 43-year-old Sergeant who was stationed at Estcourt Detectives,” added Captain Struwig.
