Four nabbed for being in possession of suspected stolen diesel

When police questioned the occupants of the vehicle as to where they got the diesel from, they could not produce a proper explanation

Four people, aged between 17 and 31-years-old have been arrested and charged with possession of 14 litres of diesel.
Lt Col AB Ngobese-Ndlovu of Madadeni SAPS and fellow members were conducting an operation in the Dannhauser area (Operation Basadi) when they stopped a Mazda Bakkie with four occupants in it.

When police questioned the occupants of the vehicle as to where they got the diesel from, they could not produce a proper explanation. Investigations led police to a house where the man responsible for the delivery of the diesel, was alleged to have lived. He, however, denied any involvement in the matter. The four were arrested and charged with possession of the stolen equipment. They appeared in the Dannhauser Magistrates’ Court on September 4. Investigations continue.
