
Dannhauser SAPS arrested two suspects for the murder of 20-year-old Sphiwesihle Rayile, and the attempted murder of his twin brother at Koppie Alleen Farm on September 2.
According to police reports, the brothers were at a local tavern at around 2am, when they got into a heated argument with the arrested suspects.
During the argument, the suspects produced a knife, and both brothers received several stab wounds to their chests and heads.
“The two victims were rushed to Dannhauser Clinic for medical treatment. However, Sphiwesihle was pronounced dead on arrival.”
His twin brother was rushed to Madadeni Provincial Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The suspects, aged 22 and 18 years old respectively, were arrested shortly after the incident and are expected to appear in the Dannhauser Magistrate’s Court soon.
