Chaos erupted earlier today (September 17) at the Town Hall in Murchison Street during an ANC meeting.
The meeting was held to solve recent disputes that members of the party were having with local leadership in the Okhahlamba region.
It is unknown what happened between the ANC members during the meeting.
SAPS had to intervene, firing rubber bullets and letting off teargas to disperse the crowd.
Two people were injured after being hit by rubber bullets fired by police.
A heavy police presence kept a watchful eye on the situation.
