
A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged for murder at the Hilltop Tavern, Hilltop, Dannhauser.
The 30-year-old was arrested for the murder of Sakhile Khoza (35) which took place on June 23.
The man and his accomplices forcefully entered the tavern after it had been closed, breaking through the wall. They demanded cash and stabbed Mr Khoza with a sharp instrument.
They then fled with R2 500 in cash while shooting at the owner who had just arrived on scene.
The 30-year-old was arrested on September 20 and his case has been remanded to September 27 at the Dannhauser Magistrates Court.
