Paint the town purple for CANSA’s RFL

The RFL is an event where the entire community can show its support in the fight against cancer.

The time has come to get your comfortable walking shoes out to form a team for the annual CANSA Relay for Life.

Set to take place at the Newcastle Show Grounds from 6pm on October 14 to 6am on October 15, Newcastillians will have a sleepless night for a worthy cause.

The RFL is an event where the entire community can show its support in the fight against cancer.

It also represents hope for those who are fighting cancer, and is a tribute to all those who have passed away from the disease.

As part of the build up to the RFL, CANSA volunteers are painting the town purple in order to spread the message of hope. Volunteers are selling strips of purple material for R20, which can be wrapped around trees or street poles. Funds raised through the initiative will be used for cancer research.

For more information on painting the town purple, registering as a cancer survivor for RFL or signing up a team, contact Mona Maharaj on 073 756 2480.
