Construction on a new terminal building has begun at Newcastle Airport.
This is thanks to R36-million in funding from the European Union.
Its contribution will see the building complete its first phase.
The terminal is set to feature all the usual bells and whistles.
However, international pilot training could also be on the cards.
Director of Economic Development, Ferdie Alberts elaborated on this project.
