While operating a Basadi road block, the Dannhauser SAPS stopped a Mazda Bakkie with four occupants aged between 17 and 31 years.
Upon closer inspection, 14 litres of diesel was found in the vehicle, and the occupants could not supply a explanation as to the origin of the fuel.
The SAPS conducted further investigation, and discovered the diesel had been stolen. The four suspects were en route to deliver the diesel to an address in Dannhauser.
All four suspects were arrested and have since made an appearance in the Dannhauser Magistrate’s Court.
Police investigations continue.
