UPDATE: Biking couple were not part of Family Crew Rally
The couple were on their way to Ladysmith at the time of the crash
Yolandi Steenkamp and Bertus Meyer, the couple involved in Sunday’s crash on the Wasbank road, were not part of the Family Crew Bikers Rally as originally stated.

Yolandi and Bertus were travelling from Vryheid to Ladysmith when a vehicle swerved in front of them, causing their ZX machine to crash.
Yolandi was killed instantly while Bertus suffered a broken leg as well as injuries to his hands and shoulders.
He is currently at Newcastle Private Hospital.
