Vicious murder shocks Glencoe

Church-goers this morning were left stunned when the partially burnt body of a young woman was discovered on the premises of the Lutheran Church, Sithembile, Glencoe.

Congregants had gone to church as usual and upon seeing the shocking sight, immediately contacted the local police.

Detectives were also left reeling by what they saw – the young woman, who is yet to be identified, is thought to have been about 18.

Her face and body were partially burnt and she had bruising and cuts on her neck and face.

The possibility of her being raped is also being investigated.
