PREVIEW: Latifah’s memory becomes a treasure

"The memorial service was an indication of the positive impact she had on her peers."

“When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.”

These were the words which will be forever imprinted on a bench, on the premises of Hutten Park Primary School.

This came after a special memorial service was held on September 21 in memory of the late 13-year-old Latifah Ntombela.

During the memorial service, Hutten Park Primary School dedicated an engraved bench to Latifah.

This was followed by speeches from teachers and learners, all of whom spoke highly of the young and vibrant teen.

Latifah’s mother, Didi Ntombela said the memorial service was an indication of the  positive impact she had on her peers.

“It was such an emotional day.”
