Flooded street halts business in Alfred Street

A large pool of water is formed in front of some of the shops, making it impossible for customers to enter

For business owners in the street, it was another tough day of mopping up before opening for business.

“How are we expected to do business with this happening every time it rains?” asked a frustrated business owner.

In response, Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality has apologised for the inconvenience caused. “There has been a challenge with the shortage of material, we aim to address this issue as soon as possible,” said Communications Manager Sphelele Zikalala.
