WEATHER ALERT: Damaging winds and veld fire alert for KZN
A gale force North Easterly wind 35-40 Knots is expected south of Richards Bay tonight
The South African Weather Services (SAWS) has issued a warning for KwaZulu-Natal, as high fire danger conditions are expected for parts of the province.
The warning reads as follows:
Damaging Winds
A gale force North Easterly wind 35-40 Knots is expected south of Richards Bay tonight.
Snow
Light snowfalls are expected over the south-western high ground of KZN today.
Veld Fire Conditions
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over north-western KZN today.
The service also tweeted earlier about severe weather conditions predicted in other parts of the country, between October 16 to 17, with the most affected area being the Eastern Cape.
