
A cellular dealer in the Vryheid CBD was broken into for the second time in two months at about 1am on Monday morning. 15 October.
Armed men forced the front door of the business open and made off with the safe and a number of cell phones.
They fired two shots at a security guard who arrived to investigate why the alarm went off as they made their getaway.
Security cameras on the premises showed that the crime was committed in less than seven minutes by three men dressed in hoodies.
SAPS communications officer, Captain Cheryl Venter, advised business owners to re-evaluate their security measures ahead of the festive season when business burglaries take place more often.
