Ladysmith police are seeking assistance from members of the community in solving an attempted robbery case.
On Monday morning, October 2, a police officer (aged 41) was attacked in the Ladysmith CBD. The officer was in police uniform at the time.
It is alleged that two men attempted to rob him of his service pistol.
The brave officer fought off his attackers, who eventually abandoned their attempt.
As his two assailants ran off, he was accosted by another male who was armed with a knife.
The man stabbed the officer, slitting his lip.
Police urge the community to assist them in locating the man depicted in the photo attached. Detectives believe that this man could be instrumental in concluding their investigation.

He is described as being in his mid-30s. He has a light complexion, a slender build and is about 1.7m tall.
