Two shoplifters made a daring escape after targeting a clothing store in Scott Street, this afternoon (October 31).
Allegedly, the two women entered the store and stole merchandise.
Staff attempted to stop the perpetrators and a scuffle ensued.
“They ran out the store, and while crossing the road, one of the women was knocked over by a motorist,” said a staff member from the store.
However, the woman stood up and escaped with her accomplice.
Except for a few bruises, staff claim no one was seriously injured during the confrontation with the shoplifters.
Staff have opened a case at the SAPS, but the suspects are still at large.
