Weenen teens pray with police

The police officers were very touched by the kind gesture.

Police officers at the Weenen police station were in for a pleasant surprise on Sunday.

Whilst on duty at the Community Service Centre, the officers were approached by a group, most of who were teenagers, from the Weenen community.

The group had a request – they wanted to pray with the police officers.

The Cluster Commander of Uthukela Cluster, Major General Gonya, was present upon the group’s arrival and expressed his appreciation for their support and caring concern for their local police.

“These teenagers are a beacon of light and may they serve as an example to others,” he said.
