This Friday the third bail applicant in the #CannibalismCase will give evidence as to why the court should grant him bail.
Khayelihle Lamula will appear in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court alongside his co-accused Nino Mbatha, Sithembiso Sithole and Lungisani Magubane for the second part of the formal application.

The four accused face charges of conspiracy to murder and murder. The men are accused of conspiring to kill Zanele Hlatshwayo (25), whose human remains were found in a home in Rensburgdrift. This was after one of the men allegedly confessed to police that he was ‘tired of eating human flesh.’ Seven suspects were initially arrested.
Three of the men, Lindokuhle Masondo, Wiseman Madlala and Sazi Ndlovu, had the charges provisionally withdrawn against them and were released on October 12.

Traditional healer Nino Mbatha withdrew his bail application during the previous court appearance on October 27.
His co-accused Sithembiso Sithole and Lungisani Magubane were tasked to providing the court with exceptional circumstances as to why they should be granted bail.

Both men cited family commitments as a priority and told the court, during questioning, that they would relocate to Bergville.
The bail application continues on Friday when Khayelihle Lamula will take to the stand.
