Mother leaves 3 children at the side of the road while she goes shopping

The children were very young and one of them was a baby of only a few months old

A mother left her three children at the side of the road while she went shopping on Friday (November 10).

Officers from the Ladysmith K9 Unit spotted the children in the Harrismith Road area.

When the officers asked one of the children where their mother was, he told them she had gone shopping.

The children were all very young and one of them was a baby of only a few months old.

The officers went in search of the mother, as it is not safe to leave children unattended with the high rate of child abductions these days.

The mother later returned, and was shocked to find the police and a large crowd of community members who had gathered to see what was going on.

Many community members stopped to help, as they were scared that something would happen to the children, as they were so small and could not fend for themselves.

Do you think it is safe to leave young children just anywhere and go your own way? Is it safe to leave them at the side of the road, where it is so easy for them to be kidnapped?
