25 people, aged between 19 and 62, were arrested during the course of this past week in the Uthukela Cluster.
The arrests stem from various police operations held from November 6 to 10.
The suspects were arrested for possession of either small amounts of dagga or mandrax tablets.
The arrests were made in the Ladysmith, Besters, Estcourt, Bergville, Ntabamhlope, Ekuvukeni and Ezakheni areas.

The majority of the suspects have already briefly appeared in various magistrate’s courts in the Cluster, with some scheduled to appear on Monday (November 13).
The dagga weighs around 15kg and the street value is around R4000.
