Colleague killed as revenge plot goes wrong

A bottle of whiskey was all it took to hire the hitmen

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested by Dannhauser Police in connection with the murder of her colleague, Bethwell Mzokhone Montombane.

The woman and Mr Montombane worked together, however, it is believed that they did not get along. The woman is then alleged to have hired people, with a bottle of whiskey, to assault Mr Montombane.

The men travelled to Newtown in Dannhauser on Sunday, where they assaulted Mr Montombane outside his home with a sharp object.

He fell to the ground, having been critically wounded. When the woman realised that he was seriously wounded, she rushed him herself to the Dannhauser CHC where he was declared dead on arrival.

She was arrested and police are still searching for her accomplices. The case is under investigation.
