A 67-year-old Gogo from Madeleine Farm, Dannhauser, was repeatedly raped by an unknown assailant on November 19.
The elderly woman was asleep in her home when she heard someone forcibly enter the house.
The man dragged her from her bed onto the floor where he strangled her and threatened to kill her. He then repeatedly raped her before telling her that he was going outside to look for some rope to hang her.
While he was outside, the elderly woman managed to flee and alert the neighbours. The man then fled.
