A Cash In Transit guard has been shot in what is believed to be a robbery at the Shoprite Centre in Madadeni.
A source at the scene confirmed the guard was declared dead.
The incident took place at around 10am today.
It is unclear at this stage whether the robbers made away with cash or other valuables.
Relevant services and police are on scene to conduct preliminary investigations.
