2 men sentenced for business robbery near Ladysmith

The suspects were arrested, charged and found guilty of two counts of robbery each

Two accused who were involved in the robbery of a business in the Elandslaagte area were sentenced to lengthy terms of imprisonment by the Ladysmith Regional Court last Wednesday (November 15).

Mxolisi Percival Nsele, aged 27, and Smanga Mazibuko, also aged 27, robbed a business on September 18, 2013, in the Driefontein area of Elandslaagte.

The suspects were later arrested, charged and found guilty of two counts of robbery each.

The court sentenced both accused to 15 years’ imprisonment for the first count of robbery and another 15 years for a second count of robbery. The sentences are to run concurrently.

The case was investigated by  Sgt  AP Msimanga of the Elandslaagte Detective Service.
