Fill up your tanks – Vryheid faces possible interruption to water supply as Klipfontein Dam pump packs up

A recent photo of the Klipfontein Dam pump station, taken by Elaine Rodway, shows how recent rains have replenished Vryheid’s water supply.

Residents are urged to ensure that their water tanks are filled and to avoid unnecessary wasting of water.

Water is being pumped from Grootgewacht Dam to the reservoir and there is still water in the pipes. However, as always, this precious commodity should be used sparingly.
