Mooi River farmer recovering in hospital after assault

“Reports from the scene allege that the farmer had been assaulted by a group of men and he had sustained several injuries including a fracture to his left arm”

Police and paramedics responded to a call after an assault on a farmer, about 55-years-old, in Mooi River yesterday (Sunday).

At about 4.30pm, paramedics arrived on a rural road approximately two kilometres from the man’s farm.

“Reports from the scene allege that the farmer had been assaulted by a group of men and he had sustained several injuries including a fracture to his left arm,” commented Netcare Limited spokesperson Nick Dollman.

Paramedics treated the man on scene before he was taken to hospital for further medical care.
