Reports of violence and stoning of vehicles in St Chad’s after #LadysmithTaxiBan

As he was slowing down to avoid the rocks in the road, a rock was hurled at his vehicle

A report has come through of a motorist’s vehicle being stoned last night (December 7) on the Helpmekaar Road at around 9pm.

A local resident was heading back into Ladysmith when he saw rocks in the road. As he was slowing down to avoid them, a rock was hurled through one of the windows of his vehicle.

The man was lucky to not sustain any injuries, but was shaken up by the ordeal.

It is unknown who threw the rock at the vehicle.

This report comes after other reports of intimidation in Matiwaneskop. Residents en-route to work had their bus boarded by unknown men who ordered the residents off the bus.
