A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged for the kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl.
The incident happened at Verdriet Farm, Dannhauser on December 2.
The girl told police that she was on her way home when the man offered here a lift which she accepted. Howeveer, along the way, he changed his mind and drove towards the Dundee area.
He the drove to a wooded area where he stopped the vehicle and told the girl he wanted to sleep with her.
The young girl then told him that they could sleep together at home and not in the forest.
He agreed and drove back toward, stopping along the way for a beer.
While he was in the store, the girl managed to flee.
He has appeared in court and the case is under investigation.
